The Founder - Ivanka Selkirk
​​Ivanka Selkirk is a super-organised, multitasking problem-solver with a passion for helping clients regain time, clarity, and operational flow. Originally from the Czech Republic and now based in the UK, she brings an international perspective and a calm, solutions-focused approach to every project.
​
A music industry professional, international DJ, and speaker, Ivanka is also an advocate for mothers working in music — experience that continues to shape her thoughtful, people-centred approach to business support and consultancy. She holds a BA in English and Russian and an MA in Events and Conference Management.
​
Before founding Beat Admin in 2019, Ivanka managed a London office and an events and conference venue for the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, a leading anti-poverty charity, where she spent four and a half years overseeing operations, logistics, and complex event delivery.
​
With over 20 years’ experience across the creative, corporate, and music industries, Ivanka has worked internationally on projects ranging from large-scale public art installations and event production to one-to-one business consultation and strategic planning with entrepreneurs, artists, and small business owners. Her work often includes strategic matchmaking — connecting clients with the right collaborators, service providers, and opportunities to support sustainable growth.

Alongside Beat Admin, Ivanka has a thriving international DJ career under the artist name Mini Da Minx, playing bouncy electro bass house and breaks, as well as occasional disco and sun-soaked summer sets.
​
Balancing creative practice with consultancy gives her a unique understanding of the realities faced by working creatives, founders, and families — insight that continues to inform the direction and evolution of her work.
